Painting of Matthew Watson

Originally I had wanted to do Danny Devito, and actually, I had started on a painting of him. After outlining the values and painting a portion of his portrait, I decided to let him dry on my floor. While my paints were out, I wanted to work on a personal drawing to develop shadows and lighting better. With my paints and paint water out, I moved my brush from the water onto my canvas, and after a bit of painting, I looked down, realizing some had dripped, and there was a large amount of paint water and a few drops of red paint on my Danny Devito. Frustrated, I tried painting over and cleaning off the dab of paint, but it was way too frustrating and I felt overwhelmed, so I had the idea to paint Matthew Watson.
